Use the directions supplied with your exact Hostage Tape product. The steps below summarize the current product page and FAQ; keep the product cautions with the instructions.

Apply the supplied strip

  1. Check the product directions and cautions before use.
  2. Start with clean, dry lips.
  3. Separate the backing by pulling the sides of the strip apart.
  4. Place it on dry lips that are lightly pursed, then press it into place.

The reviewed directions do not specify cutting a custom strip. If the fit is unclear, ask support instead of substituting instructions for another tape.

Remove it carefully

The FAQ advises removing it slowly from a corner, rolling downward, and using warm water when needed.

Keep the cautions visible

The product page says not to use it with difficulty breathing through the nose, severe heart or breathing problems, or after alcohol or sedatives. Remove it immediately if discomfort occurs. Consult a healthcare professional before beginning a new breathing practice.
